Language Proficiency Requirements: English is the official language of instruction at SSH. All applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency to be considered for admission to any program. Please see the attached policy below for further information.

The development of the curriculum fits what is currently needed in the industry to secure employment and meet the consumer and industry needs. It was developed by Patricia Hanbidge, who is a respected Horticulturist. She has had over 30 years in the industry as an educator, a published writer and a consultant. She is experienced in many aspects of the field of Horticulture -- from the end of a spade, to outreach activities in the industry, to teaching upper level university courses, to small business development. Patricia has a unique mix of skills.

A comprehensive review of the face-to-face and distance Diploma in Horticulture program, was recently completed by the Ministry of Advanced Education.
